I have been working on a sequel to Picking up the Pieces for the past couple of months but have yet to get a real rhythm for the project. Working with clients on deadline has often taken all my time so my own writing sometimes takes a back seat.
However, the story is knocking at all the doors and windows of my mind, trying to get out and be told so this week I'm setting a writing goal. I plan to write for at least a half hour a day, every day, even if it's the last thing I do before I turn out the light at night.
There. It's down in print for all the world to see so I'm using that as accountability to keep my word. I give all my readers permission to nudge, remind or nag me to get the book done. People are asking for me to hurry up with it, so I had better get with the program, hadn't I?
If you have any great tips to share about how you structure your writing time, I'd love to hear about them. Please leave a comment below.
