Creative Spaces Around the House

Like most creative people and artists, there is always a lot going on in many spaces in my home. My house is small so it often feels like it's about to pop open at all the seams. Somehow I manage to fit it all in, usually with judicious shuffling of projects. I tend to work on a project basis when I'm creating, and make business administrivia fit in around whatever I'm working on.
Antique drop leaf desk with planner stickers.
This is my antique drop-leaf desk that I inherited from my step-grandfather, that I've had since I was a teenager. I keep my planner supplies and journals here. And of course, a few pink friends and flowers on top.
Flamingo figurines, and mug designed by Wendy Dewar Hughes.
I collect flamingos so they show up around my house. The mug is one of my licensed designs featuring my artwork that hit stores a few years ago.

Creative Spaces

Happy Planner on music stand.
My office desk is always full of fun stuff so I got a music stand for my planner so I can always see it. Behind it is the painting I did with the seascape painting lesson. Plus, a few more flamingos.
Watercolor artist's table and paints.
This is the top of my painting table, which is an antique drafting table that my brother found discarded at a construction site and gave me for my birthday a long time ago. There is always a lot going on in this corner.
